The Screen-Set and Workspace controls in CbB are there to allow you to deftly manage the the screen real estate that you have so as you go from one phase of the project into another, you can optimize the usage of what you have. Its when I try to edit /add effects etc.I find myself totally unable to get back to my "normal" screen, or if I want to use any of the functions, I seem to have lots of "boxes, dials appearing" and I end up just totally swamped.I can see from your screen shots that you're working on a low-resolution display, and thus most of your Control Bar elements are collapsed and invisible.
